Working in the care and voluntary sector for some time I am well aware of the difficulties people have with disposing of used mobility equipment when it is no longer needed. I also have a passion for environmental and humanitarian issue. This is essentially where the idea for Cariad developed from.
Cariad is a simple idea, keep unwanted, quality equipment out of landfill and send it to a developing country where it is needed.
In order to fund the shipping of equipment and purchase equipment a social enterprise will be set up alongside the project. Coffee is exported by a large number of African countries including DRC the initial focus for the project and I do love my coffee.
